This tap dance was performed in the Spring 2016 musical "Mister Roger's Neighborhood". It was performed by the 4th-5th grade Tap dance elective who studied Rhythm Tap. A good portion of the dance was choreographed by students who created rhythm patterns in small groups and taught the rest of the school. Through this process they developed skills in collaboration, choreography, and teaching. The music is a remix of classic songs from the T.V. show "Mister Roger's Neighborhood".
Students became immersed in dance history through this Jazz Dance elective. The following is the final product of the learning that took place over the course of the elective.
